This iconic Christian hymn has a slightly different flavor with the alto sax melody and acoustic piano. Solemn and sparse, it evokes a peaceful gospel vibe. One of the most recognizable songs in the English speaking world, this arrangement is very introspectively done without too much embellishment of the melody. The piano accompaniment has a bell like quality set in 3/4 time that speaks to the direct simplicity and grace of the melody.
