My daughter and her cousin made a comment at my wife's grandmother's funeral. They said "Could we send a balloon with a note to Grandma up in Heaven?" I found that intriguing and used it as the bridge in the song. My co-writer Krystle Blue helped to put all the pieces together on the song. Instrumental mix also available.
