A ragtime piece a la Scott Joplin (with a little Irving Berlin thrown in there) for solo piano that begins in a somber mood and ends up cheery -- hence the title. The sound is that of an old-time piano, making this piece a good match for documentaries or period pieces, especially those covering the 20's and 30's.
